Westports Malaysia Dragons unveil its latest change in the player lineup in the midst of the Christmas break before resuming the league next week with the addition of two new players.

Dragons welcome the return of Joshua Munzon, 21 year-old who played with the team last season will be replacing Reil Cervantes as the Asean heritage player.

2016/17 Season against Kaohsiung Truth

Standing at 6 feet 4 inches tall, Munzon averaged 19.4 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists per game.

In the previous season of ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) in 2016/17, Munzon broke the All-Time Single Season record with a total of 61 steals.


Curtis Washington will be replaced by Allen Jeffrey ‘AJ’ West Jr. as the new world import player in the Dragons.

Washington was flown in in November to replace Solomon Jones was released after playing a game with the Dragons before the month-long break in December.


AJ West in BC Siauilai from Lithuania

AJ West played for BC Siauilai from Lithuania for FIBA Euro Cup averaging 9 points and 6 rebounds per game in 2016.

He stands at 6 feet 9 inches tall, he was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, United States during his early years and he played for Nevada Wolf Pack in 2013-2014.

The 26-year old player even has his own YouTube channel filled with videos of the young star in action.

Westports Malaysia Dragons will be up against Tanduay Alab Pilipinas on January 3 at 8PM in Manila, Philippines.
