Kuala Lumpur – Good shooting by the Dragons as they take their first win in the Malaysia Hoops Challenge 2018 against CLS Knights from Indonesia. The team (Dragons) were on point tonight, playing a much better game than they had from the past few games. They started off with a shabby 5-minute start, trading only 2 points to Knights’ 13. However, a time-out call by Coach Pearlman settled the Dragons because soon after, they picked up the pace, went on a 9-point streak run from 4-16 to 13-16, which then led into a 1-point lead at the end of the first ten minutes, 19-18. In the second quarter, Cayson Poh Chee Hoa pulled off an early 8-point streak to set the momentum for the Dragons, 27-18. They went on to win first half by 14 points, 41-27. The second half of the game was about maintaining their cool and keeping the point gap as it is and they did just that – Eversley had 23 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assist while Michael Karena had 16 points and 12 rebounds. Dragons will play their last game of the tournament tomorrow (Sunday) 3PM against Red Baron.
