KUALA LUMPUR – The Dragons faced the Malaysian Armed Forces or rather known in this local league as Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM) in the 60th MABA/Matrix Agong Cup’s final stages full on, with a triple-digit, 77-point win. (117-40)

Our young team, filled with familiar faces from the Malaysia Pro League (Development League) and the ASEAN Basketball League team was fearless from tip-off to end game.

They started off with a 9-0 run against ATM which then turned into a huge 18-point lead over their opponents by the first quarter.

Despite good effort from ATM, the Dragons were merciless, gave no leeway for ATM to get back on track.

The lead only got bigger as the quarters went by, reaching a 52-point lead by 3rd quarter at which players on the other team knew they would need a miracle to catch up.

Top two scorers of the Dragons were Heng Yee Tong with 26 points, 3 rebounds, 10 assists and 3 steals while captain Tan Wei Long had 22 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists and 5 steals.

Next game will be against Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) in the semi-finals at 8PM this Saturday (tomorrow) at MABA Stadium, Kuala Lumpur.
