KL Dragons beat Tigers to move out of bottom spot

Petaling Jaya - KL Dragons got themselves off the bottom of the standings in the Asean Basketball League (ABL) after notching an 88-69 win over Thailand Tigers at the Maba Stadium yesterday.
The homesters were up 14-12 in the first quarter, before ending the second quarter 33-23 for a 10-point lead over the Tigers.
Dragons’ Chris Keute, who emerged as the team’s top scorer with 24 points, kept finding the basket as his team extended their lead in the third quarter to 62-45.
And in the last quarter, Dragons surged ahead to end up scoring a 19-point win to move up to fifth place in the six-team league with 13 points.
Also level on 13 points with the Dragons are Brunei Barracudas who are fourth because of their higher score difference.
Philippines Patriots top the table with 16 points, followed by Satria Muda BritAma of Indonesia (15) and Singapore Slingers (14).
